Rachel’s transfer (previously set for Friday Aug. 25th) was delayed so her care team could resolve a respiratory infection.
Although it didn’t happen as anticipated, there has been much GOOD that has transpired in the waiting.
Rachel’s infection is clearing as she completes the course of antibiotics & she continues to receive excellent & loving care at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, ICU
I was able to be with family and friends in my hometown (Sidney, NY) to honor and celebrate the heroic life of a friend & high school classmate.
A hurricane passed through Florida (please pray for many who reside/work nearer the path of this most recent storm)
Being home this last week has allowed me to help with some of the kids transportation needs as their vehicles are being repaired/serviced.
There is Grace in the waiting when we choose to “look” for it and then receive it. By “Grace”, in this case, I mean GOD’s GOODNESS. The gifts that we didn’t earn, and didn’t even know we needed.
One of Rachel’s and my favorite songs is “Goodness of God” (We like CeCe Winans’ Live version). We believe in the goodness of God, because as one of the lyrics of this song boldly declares…
“All (our lives) you have been faithful,
All (our lives) you have been so, so
good to us!”
Thank you again, to all of you for praying for Rachel, myself and our family. Our eyes remain fixed upon the One who knows our every need before we do….
I will share our new transfer date when it is known to us.
On behalf of our family & with hearts full of joy,
Jeremy
(PS….listen to the song )
